Estate Planning & Administration

 We have an extensive practice in advising and drafting wills and trusts of some very wealthy clients as well as those of more moderate means. Tax planning involves keeping our clients informed of the latest developments in state and federal taxation of estate, with a view of effecting the greatest possible savings of taxes on wealth transfers.

We administer estates of decedents from the probate of wills, the marshalling of the decedent’s assets, payment of his or her liabilities and distribution of assets to the intended beneficiaries. That includes, where appropriate, the preparation and filing of estate and inheritance taxes, both federal and state.

We also advise fiduciaries about their duties and obligations, in the administration of estates and trusts, and, where necessary, are prepared to litigate either on their behalf or for beneficiaries who may have valid grievances.
